The character 人(rén) is not only a character, but also a radical. Do you still remember (nǚ), which also works as character and radcial. Picture of 人(rén) is a bit different from that of (nǚ), which is a standing person. When 人(rén) is used as a radical, it is mostly related to people and their actions.

The character I am going to introduce to you is (nǚ). 女(nǚ) is a character as well as a radical. Because the original character 女(nǚ) (in the ancient time) looks like a sitting women, 女(nǚ) means woman. When 女(nǚ) is used as a radical, it is mostly related to woman.
